Electric Diaphragm Pumps
An electric diaphragm pump integrates air-operated diaphragm pump technology with an electric motor, along with various additional features, to achieve greater operational efficiency. Many industries prefer diaphragm pumps over AODD pumps because they eliminate the high operational costs associated with air compressors.
The simple design of EODD pumps greatly minimises maintenance requirements. With fewer moving parts, servicing can be done quickly and efficiently. Additionally, their compact size helps lower initial costs.
Electric diaphragm pumps enable operators to control flow rates, with motorised diaphragms providing precise operation. EODD pumps typically include integrated surge suppression, allowing them to stall against back pressure. Optional discharge dampeners and suction stabilisers are also available to reduce flow pulsations in variable or demanding system conditions.
Features & Benefits
Energy Efficiency
EODD pumps are electrically driven, making them 4-8 times more energy efficient than AODD pumps
Portability & Flexibility
EODD pumps are equipped with an electric motor, giving them a smaller footprint compared to AODD pumps, which require air compressors. These plug-and-play pumps are easy to operate, with no need for complex wiring or connections.
Improved Pump Control
VFDs and automated controls are available for EODD pumps, enabling easy and remote management of pressure and flow.
Quiet Operation
EODD pumps produce noise lower than 75 dB compared to AODD pumps and air compressors, which have a noise level of over 100 dB.
AODD Features
- Stalling under pressure
- Dry run capable
- Self-priming
- Handles a range of viscosities
- Efficient solids and abrasives handling
EODD Features
- No freezing
- Low pulsation
- Fewer wear parts
- Lightweight
