MP Pumps
MP Pumps has been designing and manufacturing end-suction and self-priming centrifugal pumps to the highest standards for over 80 years. Their innovative fluid-handling products are backed by rigorous testing, ensuring reliability during critical fluid transfer services in agriculture, transportation, and warewash industries. For flexibility, MP Pumps offer motor and hydraulic drives for their self-priming pumps and end-suction pumps.
The brand also uses a range of materials from cast iron, ductile iron, bronze, and stainless steel to aluminum to suit different operating requirements and provide lifelong durability.
MP Pumps Self-Priming Pumps
MP Pumps offers high-quality motor and hydraulic drive self-priming centrifugal pumps with over 20 different types to ensure that each industry gets the perfect pump for its applications. MP Pumps use highly engineered seals in their self-priming pumps to guarantee efficient and safe operation when handling toxic fluids.
They consume low energy despite varying atmospheric pressures and liquid densities, making them more competitive than others on the market.

Principle of Operation
Self-priming centrifugal pumps should evacuate air out of the system to stay primed and ready to run. This eliminates the priming stage – the first stage in operating standard centrifugal pumps – making them more energy efficient. The centrifugal force coming from the rotating impeller creates an airtight seal that draws the air toward the discharge port. This continuous phenomenon causes the suction of liquid and the start of the pumping process.
MP Pumps End Suction Pumps
MP Pumps designs and manufactures standard end suction centrifugal pumps for hot water, oil, chemical transfer and circulating applications. Their hot oil pumps are built to withstand up to 343 degrees Celsius, while the hot water models can handle up to 204 degrees Celsius.
The CHEMFLO Series represents their chemical transfer pump range and comes in various sizes and options for drive, coupling and mounting features, allowing users to maximise fit and efficiencies.

Principle of Operation
End-suction pumps can use open vane and enclosed impellers. They are standard centrifugal pumps that converts rotational energy to kinetic energy in a liquid. The liquid is pumped inside and its velocity increases as it moves along the vanes of the impeller. Liquid is then forced to the tips of the impeller and into the volute casing. This diffusion process converts the high velocity in the liquid into high pressure.
