MAAG

All-Pumps offers a complete range of MAAG twin screw and triple screw pumps that excel in high-viscosity applications. MAAG is the lead brand for pump and filtration systems under the MAAG Group. The company is known for its long history of providing next-level solutions that address complex challenges in the process, oil and gas, marine, and general industries.

Joining the screw pump competition, MAAG introduced the S Series that boast robust design and ability to withstand various temperature and pressure conditions without failing.

MAAG S Series — Twin Screw Pumps

The MAAG S Series twin screw pumps provide outstanding performance in the most demanding fluid transfer challenges. Their design offers a constant smooth flow and complete axial balancing of the rotating elements while eliminating all metal-to-metal contact within the pump. They can handle virtually any non-homogeneous fluid, regardless of viscosity, abrasiveness, or lubricity.

The Twin Screw S Series is available in 3 distinct lines – WTG (with timing gear), NTG (non-timing gear), Multi-phase – and 2 design configurations – single or double suction.

  • Higher volumetric efficiency due to the unique profile of screw flanks
  • Includes relief valve for overload protection
  • Versatility with different flow rates, pressures, liquid types and viscosities
  • Consistent flow rate regardless of pressure or viscosity
  • Rigid parts translate to longer life and maintenance intervals
  • No fluid agitation
  • With timing gear, no timing gear, multi-phase configurations
  • Material options for casing, shaft, and screws
  • EX and CE-certified models available
  • Spare parts
  • Baseplate/mounting
  • Capacity: Up to 2500 m3/hr

The MAAG Twin Screw Pumps function on the principle of positive displacement. A set of two spindles inside a closed compartment helps pull the liquid from the suction side of the pump as they rotate in opposite directions. A small gap is maintained between the casing inside the compartment and the rotating spindles. The spindles are fitted with timing gears at their ends. Besides these, a motor is used to start these pumps. The spindles pull the liquid towards the centre while maintaining a perfect hydraulic balance. In this way, the fluid efficiently passes towards the discharge end of the pumps.

MAAG S Series — Triple Screw Pumps

The MAAG S Series Triple Screw pump is specifically designed for handling clear, lubricating liquids without solid content. They are designed to tackle the toughest application challenges in the oil and gas, process, and marine industries. The pumps provide a smooth, constant flow regardless of the operating pressure, temperature, and viscosity.

Like their twin screw counterpart, MAAG S triple screw pumps are self-priming, compact, robust, and can be ATEX-certified for use in explosive areas.

  • Uniquely constructed pressure relief valve for pump and system safety
  • High volumetric efficiency, strong self-priming capability, reversible rotation
  • Smooth, nearly pulse-free operation with low noise and vibration
  • Compact design makes the pump easy to install and maintain
  • High energy efficiency
  • Long service life
  • Multiple seal options
  • Installation orientation options
  • Material options for casing, shaft, and screws
  • Casing construction options: top inlet, top outlet

MAAG’s S Series Triple-Screw Pumps consist of three rotating parts, a male drive spindle (driver screw) and two female secondary spindles (driven screws). As the driver screw starts rotating, the driven screws also rotate. Due to the movement of these screws, a minimal vacuum starts producing at the inlet section. This vacuum causes the fluid to enter through the inlet valve. The fluid is trapped between the gap of the “screws” and rotated as the screws rotate. As pressure increases, the fluid is discharged from the outlet valve and transferred to the desired location.
