Global Pump
Global Pump was founded by Mersino Dewatering in 1997 with the goal of developing dependable, economical, and highly efficient submersible dewatering pumps and pump packages. The company’s product portfolio consists of electric and diesel-driven enclose impeller pumps that boast exceptional design and superior components, ensuring users receive the very best quality product for their investment.
Pumps are available in a variety of sizes and configurations, providing industries with tailored-fit solutions.
General Dewatering
Various industries are faced with the challenges of continuous water management on sites. From the facility’s construction to operation, industrial applications deal with so much water during processing, cleaning, emission control, and flood control. Undesired water in an industrial site can lead to safety risks, increased costs and project delays. It is then critical for any industry to use the right technique to control, manage, and remove water. This becomes even more important as the geology and hydrology will vary from location to location and from industry to industry.
There are a variety of pumps used for dewatering any industrial site: submersible pumps, self-priming pumps, borehole pumps, etc., but the pump choice always depends on the job conditions.

- Flow: Up to 511 m3/h
- Head: Up to 46 m
- Power: Up to 43 kW
Principle of Operation
Global Pump submersible dewatering pumps are centrifugal in type and are used to remove water collected in construction sites, tunnels, and mines. They suck the dirty water – which is circulated in the casing by the impeller and later discharged to a wellpoint system or open sump. Depending on the type of water, a dewatering pump may use strainers to remove abrasives from the groundwater before being processed. A dewatering sludge pump, on the other hand, is used for moving thick, viscous fluids.
Global Pump Submersible Trash Pump
Global Pump submersible trash pumps are ideal for corrosive and abrasive applications, as well as for low flow, high head applications. These portable electric pumps can be configured for installation in stationary wet pits (P-type) and mobile wet pits (S-type). They are designed to transfer water with soft to hard solids such as mud, leaves, twigs, sand, and sludge without clogging and damaging.
They are heavy-duty centrifugal pumps that feature deeper impeller vanes and larger discharge openings than other pumps. Global Pump trash pumps are available in different sizes from 4″ to 8″ and can achieve head up to 23.5 metres and flow up to 568 m3/h.
Features & Benefits
- Run by high-efficiency 4-pole induction continuous rated motor with squirrel cage rotor
- Ball bearings enclosed with high-temperature grease containing special anti-corrosion additive
- Self-priming pumps are designed to create and maintain a vacuum level that is sufficient to draw fluid into the inlet without external assistance.
- 5 times higher wear, corrosion, heat resistance with dual mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces

- Head: Up to 24 m
- Size: Up to 8”
- Power: Up to 26 kW
Principle of Operation
A trash pump has a rotating engine that powers a shaft that spins. Attached to the shaft is an impeller. As the impeller spins, the water is collected and pushed through the discharge line. Most trash pumps have an open or semi-open impeller design to allow solids such as rocks and twigs to pass through.

Mining/Quarry Solutions
Mining processes almost always produce wastewater, often contaminated with solids and chemicals. This wastewater needs further treatment to ensure the process is efficient, and so a highly reliable pump is required.
Many mining and quarrying processes produce huge quantities of wastewater that must be transported to approved sites. This wastewater is often contaminated with solids and chemicals, thus, a dewatering pump that can handle abrasives, irregular particles, and corrosive fluids is needed. Submersible pumps and large pump packages play are vital in controlling water in mine sites and preventing floods that may slow down operations or endanger workers.
Global Pump Trash Pump Series Range
Global Pump’s Trash Pump Series is engineered to operate in variable and harsh environments while maintaining efficiency at high volume flow. These skid-mounted trash pump systems and cart pumps use enclosed impellers and can handle solids with sizes up to 114 mm (4.5 inches) and debris in the mines.
Each unit is powered by a water-cooled 4-6 cylinder diesel engine and features a non-return valve that allows full flow with minimal restriction. Made with robust materials, they run continuously without much maintenance.

Construction Solutions
Waterlogging is often encountered during construction. The use of water in cleaning heavy equipment and excavation also adds to the build-up of water in construction sites. This water build-up obstructs construction work, and the foundation can fail when water isn’t properly managed. This makes dewatering important in any construction work.
Dewatering a construction site involves methods like wellpoint dewatering, deep well dewatering, educator dewatering, and sump pumping. A dewatering pump will suck up the undesired water collected on the site and transfer it to another location.

Underground Construction Dewatering
Underground construction or excavation of underground mine sites and tunnels involves complex dewatering systems. Volumes of water from the construction site need to be removed to stabilise the ground and prevent flooding of the work area.
Tunnel-boring machines and drilling equipment also require a reliable supply of cooling water, which must be recovered, extracted and treated after use, thereby needing many dewatering pumps on site.
