Principle of Operation
Blackmer Twin Screw Pumps are rotary, positive displacement pumps composed of two sets of opposed screws. These two counter-rotating screw rotors are engineered to rotate towards each other. This action traps the fluid between the screws of their rotors. As the screws turn, this trapped volume decreases, compressing the fluid and moving it towards the exhaust.

Principle of Operation
The S Series Triple-Screw Pump consists of three rotating parts, a male drive spindle (driver screw) and two female secondary spindles (driven screws). As the driver screw starts rotating, the driven screws also rotate. Due to the movement of these screws, a minimal vacuum starts producing at the inlet section. This vacuum causes the fluid to enter through the inlet valve. The fluid is trapped between the gap of the “screws” and rotated as the screws rotate. As pressure increases, the fluid is discharged from the outlet valve and transferred to the desired location.
