Aro's Piston

ARO’s range of piston pumps is designed to effortlessly handle viscous fluids like oil and grease, paint and spray coatings, adhesives, sealants and much more. The series is available in 2-ball or 4-ball style.

The series is available in 2-ball or 4-ball style. The company came up with a wide selection of pressure ratios and displacement rates to offer the perfect piston pump package that meets specific application needs in various industries.

  • Packing seals range ensures chemical and material compatibility
  • Powered by ARO N-Series/Thunder Series motors
  • Lubrication-free operation saves operational costs
  • 6” stroke results in improved performance
  • Improved pulse profile and reliability due to fewer switch-overs per cycle
  • Fiber-wound, conductive composite cylinder has superior seal wear

Piston pumps work by creating pressure by distributing energy into the pumped fluid. This action results in a pressurized fluid cylinder. Piston pumps are ideal when an application requires higher flow rates of fluid and low pressure, which can discharge fluid at a high rate with little effort.

Aro's Peristaltic

ARO’s peristaltic pump offering through the brand Albin is designed and manufactured for diverse industries in order to create better products and production processes. Because only the inside of the hose and hose inserts are in contact with the fluid, aggressive and contaminated fluids can be processed without the damage experienced by other pumping technologies.

Peristaltic pump replacement hoses are offered in a wide range of materials: natural rubber (NR), NBR, NBR Food, EPDM, Hypalon, FKM, and NR FDA.

  • Handle fragile fluids with little wear
  • Provide high levels of volumetric accuracy
  • Can pass solids approximately 20% of the hose inner diameter
  • Dry-run capability that allows tank and line stripping
  • Seal-less design that eliminates leaks and contamination
  • Self-priming up to 9.80 meters
  • Effluent processing
  • Mining waste/wake transfer
  • Mud slurry transfer
  • Municipal waste transfer
  • Sea tanker offloading
  • Sand slurry transfer
  • Tailings transfer
  • Thickener underflow feed
  • Fish boat offloading

Peristaltic pumps operate in the principle of compressing and decompressing fluid. It utilizes “shoes” or rollers that are fixed onto the rotor of the pump, which press the fluid through the pump. After a fixed volume of fluid (which is defined by the distance between the two rollers or shoes) is drawn into the pump tube, it is trapped by the roller or shoes, rotated, and expelled out of the pump when the next roller or shoe passes over the tube. As the rollers start to make another rotation, a new vacuum is formed, causing more fluid to be drawn into the pump.

The complete closure of the tube when it is squeezed between the rollers and the track is what gives the peristaltic pump its positive displacement action.
