PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
A trash pump has a rotating engine that powers a shaft that spins.
Attached to the shaft is an impeller. As the impeller spins, the water is collected and pushed through the discharge line. Most trash pumps have an open or semi-open impeller design to allow solids such as rocks and twigs to pass through.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Buzzsaw Wear Plate
- With an aggressive saw tooth-shaped profile, it shears stringy materials as they pass through the pump, preventing clogs
- Helps prevent the WSP™ self-primer pump from running in a state of partial clog
- Allows the pump to run at higher overall efficiencies while lowering maintenance costs, extending valuable runtime.
- Not available in WSP™ high-head models
Fill Port Cover & Clamp Bar Assembly
The recessed bolt-locking construction and anti-rotation design of the clamp bar assembly prevent accidental breach of the fill port cover, protecting the operator from scalding burns.
WSP™ Chop-Flow Chops Solids as it Pumps
The Chop-Flow pump is a reliable, cost-efficient way to chop and pump at the same time. Using an impeller with an ultra-sharp blade face and stationary cutter bar – both hardened to RC60 – this chopper pump can break down oversized solids, fibres, and other hard-to-pump materials several hundred times per minute. Chop-Flow pumps are manufactured side by side with the renowned WEMCO® pumps and designed by the same engineers – making these chopper pumps as reliable as any WEMCO® pump.
They are made using abrasion and corrosion-resistant materials and heavy-duty casting – making them highly durable and fit for extreme fluid handling applications in the wastewater, pulp and paper, food processing, and meat and poultry processing industries. With a common footprint to other chopper pumps, the Chop-Flow will bolt up to your existing piping and coupling.
All-Pumps is an exclusive industrial distributor of Trillium Chop-Flow pumps in Australia. Get in touch with our team for complete options.
Principle of Operation
The WSP™ Chop-Flow pump uses a rotating impeller and stationary cutter plate to break down large solids, fibres, and other hard-to-pump materials that usually cause clogging in regular centrifugal pumps. As the pump sucks in water with solids, its rugged impeller chops the foreign materials several hundred times per minute against its stationary cutter plate before it proceeds with its normal pumping operation.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- High hydraulic efficiency
“Wrap around nose-vanes” ensure complete chopping at the centre of the impeller even without an impeller nut - A one or two-piece, easily replaceable, stationary cutter bar that covers the entire suction opening for demanding chopping applications
- Rear pump vanes with cutting slots repel and chop any material that gets behind the impeller
- The wearing parts-cutting bar, impeller and rear cutting teeth can be easily and inexpensively replaced
- All clearances are easily and externally adjustable by one person without having to unbolt and move the pump and/or motor
- Top-quality materials and castings are utilised throughout, there are no flimsy fabricated parts to corrode
Trillium Roto-Jet® High-Pressure Pitot Tube Pumps
The Roto-Jet® high-pressure pitot tube pump is a single-stage centrifugal pump with advanced pitot tube technology. The pitot tube is a variation added to the traditional centrifugal pump, allowing it to achieve higher pressures without adding multiple stages. It features a unique operating principle where the casing rotates instead of the impeller. It uses the fixed pitot tube pump within the casing to pressurise the working fluid.
Roto-Jet® is designed for low-flow, high-head applications. It has a curve similar to that of a regular centrifugal pump, but unlike it, Roto-Jet® can operate reliably at any point on the curve. It will also not seize if run dry by a loss of suction or when working with minimal continuous bypass flow against a closed discharge valve.
All-Pumps is an industrial distributor of Trillium Roto-Jet® high-pressure pitot tube pumps in Australia. Get in touch with our team for complete options.

OUR RANGE OF AVAILABLE TRILLIUM ROTO-JET® HIGH-PRESSURE PITOT TUBE PUMPS
The operating characteristics of the Roto-Jet® pump are straightforward and similar to a conventional centrifugal pump. Energy is added to the fluid via the rotor, and the stationary pitot tube converts the fluid velocity energy into static pressure.
The liquid enters the pitot tube openings at the periphery of the rotating rotor. This is where the velocity is the greatest. As the fluid enters the pitot tube, much of its kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy by the internal shape of the pitot tube. Using this operating principle, relatively high pressures can be obtained in a single-stage process. The pump generates a pulsation-free flow and has a stable NPSHr curve.
